Meet Your Master Trainers

Tracy Mak is the Head Trainer of the Global MPDS Academy, Co-owner of Milan Pole Dance Studio Singapore and well-respected for her contributions in the Pole & Aerial industry internationally.

She is an Advisory Board Member of the International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF), and was the first in Asia to become a certified Head Judge. She was also the Head of Ethics Committee within the IPSF and has contributed to the development of its Code of Points & Rules and Regulations.

She has judged in various national and international Pole & Aerial Championships around the world. She hopes to grow the recognition of pole & aerial as a sport and art form, as well as provide opportunities for Asian talents on the international stage. In 2018 she was nominated under the International Pole Dance Fitness Association for Industry Person of the Year for her contributions.

With more than 10 years of experience in the fitness industry, Yva teaches pole, aerial, strength, flexibility, and yoga.
Having been a cheerleader in her university days, Yva started her teaching journey as an IFC certified cheerleading coach. She went on to take up pole dancing, became a IPDFA certified pole fitness instructor and has been teaching since 2011. 
Yva's strong beliefs in the value of continual education and growth as an aerialist and instructor have led her to participate in various courses/workshops in different countries to keep her knowledge updated and improve her teaching.

In addition to having appeared in The Straits Times, Yva has been interviewed by Singapore Women's Weekly and omy.sg. She has also performed at private and public events. In 2014, she started competed in numerous competitions both locally and overseas.

Known for having a keen eye for detail, Yva's classes emphasize safe and effective training with proper techniques. Never a fan of "mirror muscles", Yva ensures that her students focus on not just toning the superficial muscles, but also enhancing their full range of motion and functional strength. Don't be fooled by her strict and no-nonsense demeanor - her classes are lighthearted and littered with jokes and laughters.
