Pole dance lessons: the importance of learning at your own pace.
Have you ever felt like you needed to try one specific trick a few more times?
Let's be honest, how many times have you wished the lesson would last 5 more minutes so you had time to perfect a new trick before moving on to your next lesson?
When learning pole dance it's important to keep in mind that the level of the lesson you are taking may not always be the right one for you depending on your experience level. For example, if you are beginner but taking an intermediate level class, you may face some difficulties learning the combo of the day.
Feeling behind or not having enough time to practice as much as you want and need to can be highly frustrating, especially when you are first starting out.
Think back on a time when you were in the middle of a lesson, just about to nail the transition, RIGHT when the lesson finished.
Fast forward to the next day, when you were getting ready to pick up where you left off the day before, but your teacher ends up moving forward and demonstrating a brand new transition.
“Ok, I remember the first trick, the next one…was it an outside or an inside leg?”
This is not a happy time for anyone trying to learn a new skill, especially with pole dancing.
So, what could you do to slow things down and learn at your own pace?
- Take private lessons (if you can afford it). This will give you a boost because you will learn technique more accurately and the instructor will be there just for you.
- Train at home. Buying a pole to train at home will allow you to spend more time practicing every single trick and combo (if you remember it).
- Follow an online program. This is the BEST option, because it will give you a much needed confidence boost. You will be able to train as much as you want, whenever you want.
The MPDS Online program provides you safety, technique, and the ability to go at the pace you need. This program teaches you innovative transitions and combos for every level…that you can consistently follow AT YOUR OWN PACE.
